About OWNY
01
Understand real estate. Make decisions better.
OWNY.CH provides ongoing information on current topics relating to the Swiss property market. From market trends and price developments to buying, selling and financing to legal and tax issues: compact, comprehensible and consistent with a focus on Switzerland.
Real estate decisions rarely arise in just one discipline. Location, use, financing, taxes, regulation, construction quality, operation and long-term performance are intertwined. OWNY classifies these relationships and makes visible which questions owners, buyers, sellers, investors and companies should consider at an early stage.

What moves the Swiss property market
OWNY deals with developments that are practically relevant for real estate decisions in Switzerland: real estate prices and regional market differences, housing scarcity, reference interest rate and rental market, mortgages and sustainability, rental value, provision funds, energy renovations, valuation, sale, project development and value preservation.
Economic and financial developments are also included when they affect the real estate market. These include interest rates, inflation, financing costs, yield expectations, regulation and changes in supply and demand.
03
For owners, buyers and investors
The magazine is aimed at people who do not want to look at real estate in isolation. Private owners find orientation for sales, financing, renovation or succession. Prospective buyers receive basics at market value, sustainability and risk. Investors and companies find assessments in terms of return, cash flow, use, development and long-term operation.
The contributions provide decision-making knowledge and show connections. They do not replace individual real estate, financial, legal, tax or investment advice, but create a better basis for talking to the right specialists.
04
Swiss sources, understandable assessment
Where figures, market indicators or regulatory developments play a role, OWNY relies on comprehensible Swiss sources. These include publications by the Federal Statistical Office, the Swiss National Bank, the Federal Housing Office, cantonal offices and other technically relevant institutions.
The aim is not to string together as much data as possible. The decisive question is what a development can mean for a concrete real estate decision. Therefore, OWNY combines facts with economic perspective, practical relevance and a clear language.
05
Editorial and transparency
OWNY is a Swiss real estate magazine. The contributions are published by Matthias H. Römer and combine proven sources with an independent assessment for the Swiss property market.
Current news and long-term advisors are clearly separated editorially. News indicates the confirmed information status, the publication date and open points. Guidebooks are updated when figures, legal situation or framework conditions change significantly.
Sources, subsequent additions and significant corrections are displayed transparently. Commercial cooperations, if available, are visibly marked and separated from the editorial assessment. Questions and hints can be directed to OWNY via the contact page.
